Adding, Removing, or Extending a Course Deadline for a Specific Learner

Course deadlines, or soft deadlines, show up on a learner’s course but they will still be able to open and take the course even if the deadline is passed.

If the learner is seeing a lock icon on their course and can’t open it, please refer to the Learning Plan Deadline, or hard deadline, article.

Accessing the Course Management Section

1. Login to your account at learn.ue.org

2. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner to open the Admin Menu.

3. Click “Course management”

Finding the Learner’s Enrollment Validity Period

4. Search for the course in which the learner is enrolled. Then click on the icon under the Enrollments header.

5. Search for the learner’s account, then click the three dots to the far right of the learner’s name.

6. Click “Edit enrollment”

Adding a Deadline / Validity Period

7. Click “Enable enrollment validity period”

Extending the Deadline/Validity Period

8. To edit an existing validity period/deadline, click on the end date to open the calendar.

9. Choose the new deadline date and time.

10. Then click, “Set date and time” to add the new deadline.

Removing the Deadline/Validity Period

11. To remove a deadline altogether, click the X next to the “End of validity” date.

Saving Your Changes

12. Click “Confirm” to save your changes.
