Adding, Removing, or Extending a Course Deadline for a Learner

Use this guide to add, remove, or extend a course deadline for one learner in the UE Learning Portal.

Course deadlines are soft deadlines. Learners will see the deadline on the course, but they can still open and take the course after the deadline has passed.

Understanding course deadlines

Course deadlines are set on a learner’s course enrollment. They are also called soft deadlines.

Deadline type What happens
Course deadline The deadline appears on the learner’s course, but the learner can still open and take the course after the deadline has passed.
Learning Plan deadline If a learner sees a lock icon and cannot open a course, refer to the Learning Plan deadline guide instead.

Important: Use this guide only for course deadlines. If the learner is locked out, the issue is likely a Learning Plan deadline.
