Learning Portal Migration – FAQs

A new system is needed to provide the features members have been requesting, allowing us to develop new capabilities to make your training efforts more efficient to manage.

  • Self-service bulk upload
  • Full course catalog access
  • Self-registration for individual courses or learning paths
  • Self-registration links now let existing learners be automatically enrolled in additional courses or learning paths
  • Course deadlines
  • Custom notifications

No. Online training continues to be a value add for UE members with eligible policies. Training is available for non-members or those without eligible policies through Canopy Programs.

Our new platform is powered by Docebo.

  • Early Access Begins: May 6, 2024
  • Old learning portal no longer available: May 28, 2024
  • Official new platform launch: June 1, 2024

The new platform will be available ahead of official launch for those who need training continuity between May 28 and June 1. To avoid any disruption, we recommend early system configuration for those with late May or early June training.

Yes. We will re-create all administrator accounts. A new manager role is available with view permissions for specific learner records for those who don’t need full administrator access.

Due to the transient nature of student populations, many learner accounts in the current platform are inactive. Rather than bloating the new platform with legacy users, we’re taking the opportunity to create user accounts from scratch. To help you better manage your user population, we enabled the ability to bulk upload learner accounts independently of UE support staff.

Yes. We will give administrators advance platform access before learners begin training. Contact our team at launch@ue.org if you need assistance gaining access to your new account.

Not automatically, but we can help replicate your current state or leverage new platform capabilities to better support how your institution deploys training. Our new platform offers more flexibility for course assignments such as auto-enrollment rules and automatic grouping of users based on profile information such as department. If you’d rather not manage enrollments, we now offer full catalog access if you prefer to simply direct users to search for courses by name.

Yes. We enabled access by default to the relevant course catalog (higher ed or K-12) for all learners through their account menu. Don’t want learners seeing all courses? We can toggle this feature off for your institution.

We recommend pulling your completion records by May 27th in advance of the platform switch but after the migration completion records will be available through UE upon request.

No. You must update your self-registration instructions. Our team will provide a new custom registration link for a learning path or even specific course. New users will be prompted to enter a branch code to validate their association with your institution. NEW FEATURE: These links will work for existing users as well, allowing them to register for additional courses or learning paths. Plus, with access to the catalog, you can simply direct users to the course if desired.
