Homepage Options

Use this reference page to understand the four learner homepage options available in the UE Learning Portal and choose the best layout for your institution.

Key point

Homepages are set for your entire institution, not for specific learner groups. If you want to change your homepage layout, contact launch@ue.org.

Choosing a homepage

There are four learner homepage options. Each one is designed for a different training setup.

Homepage	Best use case
Default Learner Homepage	Training initiatives that enroll learners directly into courses, rather than learning plans, and do not use system deadlines.
Deadlines Homepage	Training initiatives that use course deadlines.
Learning Plan Homepage	Training implementations that use only learning plans and do not intend to enroll learners in courses outside of learning plans.
Course Catalog Homepage	Providing easy access to the full catalog so learners can search for and enroll in courses themselves.

Default Learner Homepage

Recommended for training initiatives that enroll learners directly into courses and do not use system deadlines.

Deadlines Homepage

Recommended for training initiatives that use course deadlines.

Learning Plan Homepage

Recommended for implementations that only use learning plans and do not intend to enroll learners in courses outside of learning plans.

To use this homepage, provide a self-registration or self-enrollment link directly to the learning plan instead of the general learn.ue.org login page.

Course Catalog Homepage

Recommended for giving learners access to the full catalog so they can search through and enroll themselves in whichever courses they want. This homepage is not recommended if learners are required to complete specific courses.
