Retiring Courses Information

United Educators periodically reviews and updates its online courses to ensure training remains relevant, accurate, and accessible.  This page provides information about courses scheduled for retirement, including recommended alternative courses when available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did I receive an email about a retiring course?

You received this notification because you are a Training Administrator at an institution with at least one learner actively enrolled in the retiring course.  These notifications are sent to help your institution prepare for the course’s deactivation. If your institution no longer has any active enrollments in the course, you will not receive additional retirement reminders for that course.

What does it mean when a course is retiring or being deactivated?

When a course is deactivated, it will be removed from:

  • All visible course catalogs
  • Your reporting options
  • Learners’ homepages
  • All learning plans
  • All automated enrollment rules

What to Do if You Have Learners Enrolled in a Retiring Course

If your institution has learners actively enrolled in a course scheduled for retirement, we recommend taking the following steps before its deactivation date:

    1. Download completion reports.
Save a copy of your learners’ course completion data for your institution’s records. This information will no longer be available through standard course reporting once the course is deactivated.
    2. Review recommended replacement courses.
Check the list of retiring courses below to identify available alternatives or upcoming updated courses. Determine whether your learners should be enrolled in replacement training.
    3. Unenroll learners (optional).
You may unenroll your learners before the deactivation date if your learners no longer need access to the retiring course.  You will stop receiving additional retirement reminders once all learners are removed from the course. See our Unenrolling Learners from a Course guide for step-by-step instructions.
