Different Types of Users

The UE Learning Portal includes four primary user roles.

Role Permissions
Learner
  • Take courses and complete assigned training
  • Edit their own profile information
  • Enroll themselves in courses when the course catalog is enabled
Manager

Includes all Learner permissions, plus:

  • Add existing learners to their team
  • Enroll team members in courses
  • Set course enrollment validity periods
  • Run reports for members of their team
Limited Training Administrator

Includes all Learner permissions, plus:

  • View all learners in the institution
  • Run reports for all learners
Training Administrator

Includes all Limited Training Administrator permissions, plus:

  • Create, edit, and manage learner accounts
  • Enroll learners in courses and learning plans
  • Run bulk user uploads
  • Impersonate non-administrator users
  • Create and manage learning plans
  • Create and manage manager accounts
  • Add existing learners to teams
  • Run reports across the institution

Note: Manager accounts are created by Training Administrators. Limited Training Administrator accounts and Training Administrator accounts are created by the UE Learning Enablement Team.
