Editing a Learner’s Email Address

Use this guide to update a learner’s email address and username.

Key Point

For most institutions, the email address and username fields are linked. Updating the learner’s email address automatically updates their username.

Important: For SSO institutions that do not use email addresses as usernames, usernames cannot be updated manually. Contact launch@ue.org for assistance.

Opening User Management

  1. Open the Admin Homepage.
  2. Click User Management.

Editing The Learner Record

  1. Locate the learner whose email address needs to be updated.
  2. Open the learner’s action menu.
  3. Select Edit.

Select Edit to open the learner profile.

Updating The Email Address

Update the learner’s email address in the Email field.

Updating the Email field automatically updates the Username field for most institutions.

Note: Some password managers and browsers may automatically fill your own email address into the Username field while editing a learner account. This does not affect your own account.

SSO Institutions

If your institution uses Single Sign-On and usernames are not email addresses, username changes cannot be made manually. Contact launch@ue.org for assistance.

Saving Changes

  1. Review the updated email address.
  2. Click Update.

Save the updated learner information.

The learner can immediately begin using the updated email address for login and password recovery.
